Several enquiries already, asking for photos and other details - advert only went on Drascombe web site on Tuesday - lets hope the Bank Holiday encourages would be Drascombers. She's in great condition and I will be very sad to see her go, but the boys are too big and I need more comfort these days.
The travels and adventures of one man and his boat - A Cornish Shrimper named "Daislebee". To misquote Dylan Winter "I am a man from middle England, who has lived all his life on this island we call England and yet I have never sailed around it" This blog will cover the journeys Daislebee will undertake, although a circumnavigation is a long way off.

Chloe for sale....
Well nearly - our Drascombe Lugger - last coat of varnish on the spars and she'll be on the Drascombe website - a snip at £3800. Sad to see her go - many years of fun and adventures as the boys grew up, but time to get a lid and travel further afield so looking forward to the arrival of Daislebee

Why 'Daislebee'?
What do you call a boat? Whilst not an earth shattering decision it is one that causes wide variations of opinion within the family. There's the the usual attempt to find a meaningful word made up of parts of all the immediate family's names, which leads to some very strange combinations; there's the aspirational attempt at something dynamic and new and there's the acid test - what does it sound like over the VHF. Lets be honest you do hear some shockers. So how did we get to Daislebee?
Well, as in most families there is a pecking order - in ours I am at the bottom, the two boys, in no particular order, are next and the top dog quite literally is Daisy, the springer spaniel. This combined with a teenager affection gave rise to Daislebee.
