Just had a great day sailing with the Drascombe clan, who based themselves at Marchwood Yacht Club. Crewed with Peter Tiplady on board 'Siesta', together with Stewart Brown from Churchouse Boats and his friend Mike. About 15 other Drascombes, Scaffies, Luggers, Coasters and Peter's Drifter were on the water. Good to see some familiar faces and a chance to compare notes with some of those joining the Solent - Dart dash next month.
The travels and adventures of one man and his boat - A Cornish Shrimper named "Daislebee". To misquote Dylan Winter "I am a man from middle England, who has lived all his life on this island we call England and yet I have never sailed around it" This blog will cover the journeys Daislebee will undertake, although a circumnavigation is a long way off.

Sold to first enquiry
Chloe was only on the market 4 days, once the advert was posted on the Drascombe website. Going to a new home in Somerset, to a family with children, so I hope they get as much fun out of her as we did. Might see her on the water in Poole, you never know. I wonder how the Drascombe rally at Itchenor went this weekend - I suspect Sunday was pretty awful if the weather up here was anything to go by. Looking forward to the Marchwood rally - and only 38 days to go until Daislebee is delivered.
